Peggy Evans

Peggy founded Amour Properties, LLC in 2002. Prior to establishing the company, she had invested in property and built homes in Arlington and McLean, as well as the Outer Banks, for nearly 15 years. Her vision for this new company: to design and build strong homes that buyers can enjoy, the world can support, and the company can regard with pride.

Today her husband, Roger, continues to promote that vision by identifying, Green building opportunities in both Northern Virginia and the Outer Banks.

During her first career, Peggy served for 13 years as a Counterterrorism officer at CIA and five years at the Office of Management and Budget in the White House as chief of oversight for the intelligence community and for the Department of Defense information technology budgets.

Roger Ney

Roger brings a wealth of expertise to Amour Properties. He owned and ran an insurance agency for 25 years before joining the company. This experience produced expertise across the full range of responsibilities involved in running a business. His role extends across all aspects of the company.

Roger has owned and invested in property in Northern Virginia and the Outer Banks for decades. He has a deep understanding of both areas and a strong appreciation for the needs of buyers in both environments.


Mike Scheidegger

Mike has consulted for Amour Properties since 2004. His background is nuclear engineering: Mike served as an officer in the US Navy's attack class submarine service and later as an instructor at nuclear power plants from Maine to Florida.

Mike investigates environmentally sustainable technologies, techniques and materials that are of interest to Amour Properties.
